Overview

Cruise the Tempisque River through Palo Verde National Park, one of Central America's great wetlands, spotting crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and dozens of waterbird species from a comfortable boat.

Afterwards, visit the village of Guaitil for a traditional Chorotega pottery demonstration, where artisans still shape and fire clay using techniques passed down for generations.
